The SS Membership System
As a rule, individuals and companies applying for USS membership are required to provide two joint guarantors for all liabilities involving this membership. However, no joint guarantor other than the representative of the applicant is needed if the SS membership system is used.
Summary of the SS Membership System
- Application and approval process
You must submit the SS membership application form and other documents (identity verification documents, financial statements for the last two years or tax return document and Borrowing statement etc). The application is examined by the guarantee company (USS Support Service Co., Ltd.).
*The application and examination are performed using Japanese-language documents. - The maximum guarantee is 5 million yen (including tax)
The joint guarantor system is available in units of 1 million yen from 2 million yen to 5 million yen. - There is a monthly fee.
After becoming a member
5,000 yen/month (plus tax)
