Comments on Used Car Auction Data (May 2026)
The number of auctions held in May 2026 decreased by one at Tokyo site.
As a result, the number of consigned vehicles was down 3.0% (YoY), and the number of contract completions was down 1.0% (YoY).
On May 15, the Hokuriku Site was linked with Nagoya Site, and the two sites began conducting joint auctions. As a result, the number of auctions held decreased by three.
Including the Hokuriku site for comparison purposes, the number of auctions held was 63 in May 2026, compared with 64 in May 2025.
Year on year comparison (calendar factor adjusted)
In May 2026, the number of auctions held at the Tokyo Site decreased by one compared with the same month of the previous year due to differences in auction holiday.
As a weekday-adjusted comparison would not affect the number of auction held at any site, no weekday adjustment has been applied for this month's comparison.
