Comments on Used Car Auction Data (May 2025)
The number of auctions held in May increased one auction at each of six sites, including HAA Kobe and Kyushu and decreased one auction at each of six sites, including Sapporo and Kobe compared to the same month in the previous fiscal year because of calendar factors.
As a result, number of consigned vehicles was up 21.8% (YoY) and number of contract completions was up 9.3% (YoY).
Year on year comparison (calendar factor adjusted)
After adjusting for calendar-related factors, the results for USS Group auctions in May 2025 compared with the corresponding period of the previous year (May 2, 2024 to June 1, 2024) were as follows. However, there was one less auction than in 2024 at each of six sites, including Sapporo and Kobe because of the different timing of holidays during Japan's Golden Week holiday period.
